AJ2016 - Australian Jamboree

The Jamboree is a camp for Scouts aged between 11 and 14 years of age. In addition to the 9,000 + Scouts expected to attend the Jamboree, there are also thousands of Leaders and Junior Service Leaders who attend to help run the Jamboree.

The cost of Jamboree is $1675.00 per scout. This covers transport via bus to Cataract Park, food, camping, activities etc for two unbelievable weeks. (Take it from me - parent of a scout who went to AJ2103 - it's a highlight of her life so far. That and living in Norway for a year.)

We're expecting over 14,000 scouts members from Australia wide plus international contingencies that attend. The Jamboree 2016 includes 8 huge days of activities plus spectacular opening and closing ceremonies.

There are three age brackets/Scout member types eligible to attend:
  • Scouts (10-14 years of age)
  • Venturers, who attend as Junior Service Leaders (16-18 years of age)
  • Leaders & Rovers (18+ years of age)
