Post date: Apr 21, 2014 2:35:48 AM

Transport

We need parent drivers!

We have 9 people overall attending, including 3 leaders (who won't be able to drive since the hike finishes at a different location to the start point).

Drivers on Friday morning are Bill, Rob, Kim and Russell.

Drivers on Sunday morning are Sarah/Mark, Andrea, and Kim (top effort for doing two legs) but we need one more!

Anyone who can help. please contact Katy (kt.berr@gmail.com)

Details for the hike

Meet at the scout hall at 8.15 am on Friday morning ready to get going at 8:30 am.

All meals between Friday lunch and Sunday breakfast are provided. The only food scouts need to bring is snacks (that they have to carry themselves)

We'll be using the scouts' hiking tents (unless you really want to bring your own).

The equipment and food used on the hike will be shared out between the scouts to carry in their hiking packs. This means that the scouts will have to pack light (including accommodating their sleeping bag) so the equipment will be able to fit.

The hike starts at Jan Juc (see map). Friday night will be camping in Anglesea, Saturday night in Aireys Inlet. The hike ends in Moggs Creek (see map) on Sunday morning (time is still in the air, but driving time from Glass Street to Moggs Creek is 1:45).  Scouts will arrive back in Melbourne (either at the hall or maybe dropped direct to home) around 1:30 pm on Sunday.  The maps here are only for the general location, not the precise pick-up point. The hike organiser will have to give the exact places.

Bring a health form (see the resource centre tab on this website), nicely filled out.
